What ever happened to separation of church and state. I find this blurb, from an article on same sex marriage in Maine, concerning.

Associated Press says the deadline for collecting enough signatures will likely fall in mid-September -- about the same time the same-sex marriage law is due to take effect. The law would be stayed as soon as the signatures are submitted for official review...
