Ten years have come and gone. Yesterday we celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary. We spent the day in NY - a wonderful brunch at Asiate and dinner at Del Anima. In between our dear friends Cathy & Scott got engaged. It was a successful surprise & stealth operation. More photos and story on later.

california court to hear gay marriage ban case

California's Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to hear a legal challenge against the state's voter-approved ban on gay marriage and let the ban stand in the meantime.

The court case also pits two fundamental concepts of U.S. democracy against one another, with gay marriage advocates saying the proposition would open the doors to systematic repression of minorities and opponents saying courts must recognize the will of the people under separation of powers doctrine.

halloween

we realize it's late - but did not have a chance to post these sooner. but now is better than never.

kristopher hates halloween. and hates dessing up. hence - you will see - his costume is thrown together last minute and it's not much of a costume!

it's become a tradition however that we attend a halloween party downtown every year with some of our great friends. people are always wacky.

the camera died half way through the night. which actually may be good for you. now you don't have to look at so many photos!

nationwide protest

today we participated in the nationwide protest. the day started out quite dreary. rain was falling from the sky and protesting was the last thing we wanted to do. shortly before 1pm though the clouds parted and the sun was shining bright - it was a sign. so we went downtown and showed support. turned out to be a beautiful day.

we must also say how proud we are of kristopher's father. we received a call from him stating that he had decided to join a protest in california. he wasn't even with my mother as she could not make it. it was so amazing standing in new york knowing that our dad was in california doing the same! thanks dad!!!
